Line Up

Entertainment

The main stage is the entertainment centre of the Woburn Oyster Festival. Now set in the main marquee in the centre of Woburn, the standard and variety of entertainment continues to evolve with the Festival.

An unlikely contributor to the ‘raising of the bar’ has been the Health and Safety requirements that seem to become more demanding each year. As a result we had to find safer ways of managing the stage, lighting and sound systems for the event. We have been fortunate enough to secure the services of Tec PA and Lighting from Nottingham University which allows us not only to have more acts on during the weekend, but gives the Festival a wider appeal.

The entertainment represents one of the main costs of the event as there is no charge made. Most of the entertainers are local. We are always on the look out for new talent to join the festival. If you would like to be considered for future events, please let us know.

Besides the main stage, there are a number of street entertainers, clowns, jugglers, wandering minstrels, side shows and the likes. The Woburn Oyster Festival is much more than oysters..!
